The April Winter Club Night was a visit to Ruthwell Kirk, Savings Bank Museum and Comlongon Castle for supper. 17 members and one spouse travelled by minibus and were met by Rev. Gerry Moule at the kirk and by Rob Valance at the Savings Bank. Both gave excellent talks and supper in the Banquetting Hall was atmospheric
It is some time since I last posted a blog and may have lost the knack. Not sure if I like the “new” format but here goes.
The season is about coming to an end but it has certainly been stimulating. Each function has been memorable, especially the Anniversary Dinner when the speakers had to be rearranged unexpectedly. The President rose to the occasion magnificently even to the extent of learning some Japanese!
